Friends in Christ- January is coming to an end and finally the white snow is covering up all the brown dirt that has been gathering over time. It is a little late for our liking in MN, but it has come to completely change the way the world looks in our part of the woods. This cleansing and covering has reminded me of Christmas and God's light coming into the world and covering all our dirty sins with his spotless blemish free son the white clean lamb. As it says in Isaiah- Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool. Our sins are not only covered, but transformed into something totally different. We are made new! Celebrate being a new creation! ------------------------ Prayer requests: For those in our community hurting. For our Visitors. Pray for Sunday school as it continues next Sunday. Pray for those attending and those who are helping out. There are many other churches in our district that are praying for our church and the outreach that we are doing in Avon and the surrounding community. Two of our supporting congregations are St. John's of Rush City and Zion in Annandale. Please pray for them and the ministries they continue to do in their communities as well. ------------------------ Live Loved! Is the theme for the 2013 National Youth Gathering. It will run from July 1-5 in San Antonio, TX. It will be for youth going into 9th grade and those graduating from High School. Stay tuned for more information. We have a growing group of individuals praying for SonRise and the community. Also there are members that pray with Pastor before worship on Sunday mornings.
